Questions hosts ask

Where is my data kept?

In your own browser’s storage, on your own device. The toolkit has no server to send it to. Clearing site data, or using a private window, removes it, so copy or print what you need to keep.

Do I need an account or an install?

No. Open any page and use it. There is nothing to download, no sign-in and no fee.

Does it work with no internet?

Yes. The pages are plain files with no outside fonts, scripts or images, so the whole program opens from a saved folder at a course with no signal.

Is this for a real tournament?

The DC Lending Classic is a name for a toolkit. There is no event to enter, no date, no venue and no sponsor behind it. Use the tools for your own outing, whatever it is called.

What does “illustrative” mean?

Anything pre-filled, such as a par-72 layout, a sample field or a sample timetable, is a demonstration you can overwrite. None of it describes a real course, person or event.

Can I use it for something that is not a lenders’ outing?

Of course. Any club, charity, company or family day with a scorecard, a field and a schedule will do.

How do I print cleanly?

Each tool has its own print button. The controls, header and footer drop away. Turning off background graphics in the print dialog saves ink.

Independent, and plain about it

The DC Lending Classic is an independent toolkit. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any golf association, handicap authority, course, club, lender or event of a similar name. It does not take entries, collect fees, hold results or publish anything on anyone’s behalf.

Colophon

The headings are set in Cochin, Big Caslon or Georgia, and the text in Gill Sans, Optima or Calibri, depending on which your device has. The illustrations are drawn in code, the paper texture is a few lines of CSS, and the flags wave only if your system allows motion.

Accessibility

Every tool can be used from the keyboard alone, with visible focus, labelled fields and plain messages when something cannot be calculated. If something in the program gets in your way, tell the starter and it will be looked at.
